Description

These rugged, attractive steel window inserts install into Vanagon tintop (non-Westy) side sliding window frames. Fixed louvers provide ample all-weather ventilation, keeping water out when driving or camping in the rain, and look great doing it! Ideal for pets, your furry friends can be kept safe but get plenty of fresh air during brief stops.

The inserts can be installed or removed in under a minute, no tools required. First the sliding glass panel is opened fully. The insert unfolds to extend into the top and bottom tracks, then is slid forward into the front vertical track. The glass panel is then moved into its rearmost latched position. Finally, the two sliding bars are moved back and secured with the wingnuts to grip the glass panel. The installation is rigid and secure. If desired, install in spring and leave in ’til fall, or year-round in warm climates. They are safe to drive with at any speed.

When removed, the inserts fold in half for compact storage. Optional screens can be stowed installed in the panels, or folded to one-quarter size for separate storage.

Construction is all 18ga. steel, riveted and welded, finished with a textured black rubberised paint, which can be over- painted if desired.
