Waterboxer Rebuilt Cylinder Head-Pair

Single replacement cylinder head for 1.9 or 2.1 waterboxer engines in 83-91 Vanagons.  Rebuilt on excellent condition AMC core casting, or OEM VW casting if you prefer.

Casting will have no cracks between valve seats, and either no corrosion under water jacket sealing area or will have sealing plane and cylinder seating planes resurfaced. Casting is media blasted and cleaned. Valve guides replaced as needed, new guides reamed to size. All valve seats de-shrouded, then recut with four angles on intake and three angles on exhaust. Reground VW OEM intake valves, new best quality TRW/Kolbenschmidt OEM exhaust valves. Valves lapped into seats. Head is assembled with stock dual springs and split collets. Damaged hole threads permanently repaired with Timeserts. Ready to install on engine. Rocker studs included, exhaust port studs NOT included.

Some good condition VW OEM castings also available, same price. Please add a note to the field on the address page during checkout if you prefer an original VW casting. You will receive an AMC casting by default.

This is a reconditioned item. Price and shipping cost is for one complete cylinder head. Sale is outright, no core charge, no exchange. Sold as-is, no warranty is expressed or implied once accepted, but buyer has 21-day option of refusal, you may inspect and return the unused item within 21 days of receipt at your expense for return shipping and insurance and forfeit of 15% restocking fee from your refund.
